Today’s stock market was a volatile day for investors. The market started strongly in the morning, but by afternoon, due to increased selling, both Sensex and Nifty saw a decline.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened with a gain of 500 points in early trade, but by the end of the day it fell to 200 points. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty also closed with a decline of 50 points.
Market experts say that global signals and selling by foreign investors put pressure on the market. Apart from this, rising crude oil prices and strength of the US dollar are also affecting the market.
However, investors made good purchases in the IT and pharma sectors, which strengthened the stocks of these sectors. Selling dominated in the banking and auto sectors.
Experts advise that investors should invest with a long-term view for the time being. It would be better to avoid short-term fluctuations and invest in strong companies.
